Christmas at Gaylord Opryland: ICE! and Holiday Events
The resort’s holiday season is one of the most important upcoming event periods for Nashville visitors. In 2026, the featured ICE! theme is Home Alone.
ICE! Featuring Home Alone
Dates: November 6, 2026 – January 2, 2027.
The attraction features large ice sculptures inspired by the film, walk-through displays and ice slides. It is a separately ticketed experience rather than a regular convention or complimentary hotel amenity.
Best for: Families, holiday outings, couples and visitors seeking a timed attraction.
Holiday Lights, Activities & Dining
Christmas at the resort also includes elaborate indoor decorations and additional seasonal experiences. Holiday dining and special activities may require separate payment or reservations.
Best for: Overnight guests and visitors planning several activities together.
How to plan a Christmas visit
- Select your date. Choose a day between November 6, 2026 and January 2, 2027, then check which attractions have availability.
- Decide whether you need a hotel stay. If booking accommodation, compare the total room cost with a package containing ICE! tickets or other included attractions.
- Choose timed activities. Reserve ICE! and any other paid activity for specific times. Do not assume one ticket includes everything.
- Review parking and campus access. Peak-period day-visitor restrictions can apply even if parking has already been purchased.
- Save the tickets. Keep the electronic confirmation accessible on your phone and arrive in time for entry instructions.
Upcoming Conventions, Conferences and Trade Shows
Gaylord Opryland is a working convention complex, not just a resort attraction. Some events welcome public spectators, while others are restricted to registered delegates, members or exhibitors.
National Wild Turkey Federation Convention
The NWTF Convention & Sport Show is scheduled at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville. The event includes a sport show, industry exhibitors, conservation programming, calling competitions, auctions and other scheduled activities.
Ticket distinction: General Sport Show access, wristband registration, individual special-event tickets and membership eligibility may differ.
Room planning: The organizer lists Gaylord Opryland convention rooms and overflow hotel options.
Official NWTF registration and event detailsILTACON 2027
ILTACON is a professional legal technology conference with educational sessions, networking and industry participation.
Who should attend: Legal technology professionals, participating organizations and registered industry attendees.
Important: Conference registration is separate from simply entering or staying at the Gaylord Opryland hotel.
ILTACON official conference informationHow much convention space does Gaylord Opryland have?
Marriott’s published meeting-planning PDF lists the following figures for the property at the time the guide was prepared. Floor plans and capacities should be reconfirmed for event dates, especially as meeting-space expansion work continues.
Square feet of meeting space listed in the planning PDF.
Square feet of exhibition space listed in the planning PDF.
Ballrooms listed in the planning PDF.
Where your convention may be held
| Venue area | Typical event use | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Ryman Exhibit Halls | Trade shows, expos and large exhibitions. | Hall section, exhibit level, loading arrangements and badge pickup. |
| Ryman Ballroom | General sessions, banquets and large gatherings. | Ballroom entrance and organizer room assignment. |
| Delta Ballroom | Conferences, receptions and presentations. | Correct Delta section and ballroom level. |
| Tennessee, Volunteer & Davidson | Conference sessions, meetings and functions. | Precise room number and floor. |
| Magnolia Mezzanine | Smaller meeting and breakout spaces. | Mezzanine route, escalators and elevators. |
| Resort atriums & flex spaces | Selected receptions, dinners and private functions. | Event authorization, access and any weather contingency for outdoor areas. |
The meeting-planning document identifies separate venue levels and notes that maximum room capacities assume no staging or AV equipment. An actual event setup may accommodate fewer people.
Gaylord Opryland Event Tickets: Where and How to Book
The correct ticket source depends on what you want to attend. Avoid selecting a hotel reservation or parking pass when you actually need event admission.
| You want to attend | Correct booking approach |
|---|---|
| ICE! or Christmas attractions | Use the official Gaylord Opryland seasonal ticket portal. Select the experience, visit date and available time. |
| Professional convention | Use the individual organizer’s website or invitation. Complete its delegate registration or exhibitor registration. |
| NWTF Sport Show | Review organizer admission and wristband options. Other activities can require separate tickets. |
| Grand Ole Opry concert | Use the Grand Ole Opry event calendar. Concert tickets do not automatically include Gaylord resort activities. |
| Hotel stay | Reserve directly through the hotel or a selected package. Read what the room rate actually includes. |
| Private corporate meeting | Request participation instructions from the hosting company or organizer. |
Micro steps: Confirm a convention registration
- Find the exact event name and date. Do not rely on a broad hotel calendar to determine eligibility.
- Open the organizer page. Look for Register, Attend, Exhibitor or Tickets.
- Select the correct admission class. General attendee, member, nonmember, student, vendor and exhibitor tickets may differ.
- Check extra requirements. Some events need badges, identification, membership or separately booked seminars.
- Save the confirmation. Record registration hours, pickup location and your first-session room.
- Plan your entrance. Use your organizer’s instructions with the resort map rather than assuming hotel front-desk registration.

What the resort floor map actually shows
The published Gaylord Opryland meeting guide includes a color-coded resort map with Magnolia, convention facilities, Delta, Cascades, Garden Conservatory, SoundWaves and connecting guest-room areas.
Convention Center
Use this area for major Ryman exhibition facilities, ballroom sections and many conference activities. The lower exhibit level is not the same as every ballroom or mezzanine location.
Delta
Includes guest-room areas, atrium attractions, dining and access toward some meeting and special-event spaces.
Magnolia
Contains hotel and convention connections and meeting areas. Confirm the exact Magnolia room rather than treating the name as one room.
Cascades & Garden Conservatory
Known for the atriums, waterfalls, indoor gardens, resort attractions and hotel amenities. These are different from the Ryman exhibit facilities.
The easiest arrival plan for conference attendees
- Before departure: Save your registration desk and first-session room name.
- At the resort: Follow the current convention signage and the event organizer’s arrival instructions.
- Check the level: A Ryman exhibit hall, Delta Ballroom and Magnolia mezzanine meeting room may require different indoor routes.
- Use the resort map: Follow elevators and accessible routes as needed. Do not assume all colored resort sections connect directly on one floor.
- At badge pickup: Confirm any hall or room changes before going to your first session.
Navigation tip: Marriott’s resort meeting guide also points attendees toward the Gaylord Hotels Resort App for indoor step-by-step navigation.
Gaylord Opryland Parking Costs for Events
Parking depends on whether you are an overnight hotel guest, a convention visitor or a day visitor purchasing a seasonal parking product.
On-site self-parking rate shown in Marriott property information, before applicable tax.
Published Marriott daily valet rate, before applicable tax.
Some holiday date-specific parking products have a separate advance-purchase price and conditions.
What to do before paying for parking
- Identify whether your event organizer offers discounted or validated parking.
- Check if your hotel package or overnight stay has separately billed parking.
- If buying prepaid holiday parking, match the selected date to your attraction reservation.
- Budget for taxes and any extra vehicles.
- Save your parking confirmation and photograph your parking location.
- Ask in advance about accessible parking if you have a specific accessibility requirement.
Where to Stay and How to Reach Gaylord Opryland

Best accommodation choice by event type
Multi-day convention attendee
First check the event’s official room block. A group rate can have its own deadline and cancellation conditions. Staying on site can be particularly convenient when sessions finish late.
Holiday visitor
Compare a room-only rate plus individual tickets against a package that explicitly includes the desired activities. Check parking and resort fees when comparing totals.
Exhibitor or vendor
Confirm loading, freight delivery, badge pickup and move-in timing with the organizer and official event-service suppliers. Guest parking arrangements may not apply to commercial vehicles.
Family attending an event
Consider the event start time, room access, child admission rules, additional attraction tickets and time needed to navigate between the convention area and resort activities.
What Else Can You Do at Gaylord Opryland During an Event?
Visitors often combine a convention or seasonal attraction with dining, resort sightseeing or Nashville entertainment. These activities are not necessarily included in conference registration.
SoundWaves Water Attraction
SoundWaves is the resort’s indoor and seasonal outdoor aquatic experience, with water slides, pools and other facilities. A standard room-only reservation does not guarantee admission.
For guaranteed access, Marriott identifies a qualifying SoundWaves Experience Package as the appropriate booking route.
Delta Atrium and Indoor Gardens
The resort’s indoor gardens, waterways, bridges and glass-roofed public-facing areas make it a distinctive setting for a break between meetings. Some seasonal periods may restrict day-visitor access.
Delta Riverboats
A separate resort attraction offering a scenic ride through the indoor Delta waterways. Check the activity schedule and ticket availability for your visit.
Dining and Resort Entertainment
The resort features restaurants, lounges and seasonal activities. Event-week reservations can be useful for group dinners. Certain spaces may be booked for private functions.
