Editorial Mission

convention-center.org/ publishes practical, high-density venue information guides for users researching U.S. convention centers. Our editorial mission is to make venue research easier, safer and more useful by combining official-source checks, manual review, clear writing and practical visitor guidance.

Human Review Standard

Our content is intended to be manually checked by human writers and editors before publication. We do not want pages that simply repeat generic facts. Each venue guide should answer real visitor questions: Where is the venue? What is the official website? Which phone number should be used? Is there a map? Where should attendees park? Where do planners submit an inquiry? Which official page should exhibitors use? What should users verify before travel?

Human review helps ensure that the guide is useful, readable, and safer for visitors. It also helps reduce common directory problems such as outdated numbers, copied addresses, broken links, wrong map pins, confusing venue names, or unofficial ticket links.

What We Check

  • Official venue name and common alternate names.
  • Street address, city, state and ZIP code.
  • Official phone number or contact page.
  • Official website, event calendar, planner/RFP page and exhibitor resources where available.
  • Map location, directions context and common visitor access points.
  • Parking, transit, rideshare, loading dock, nearby hotel and travel guidance when useful.
  • Accessibility, safety, security, bag policy and visitor policy references when publicly available.

What We Avoid

  • Presenting unofficial ticket sellers as the official box office.
  • Claiming that a phone number, schedule or parking rule is guaranteed forever.
  • Copying venue descriptions without adding original practical value.
  • Sending visitors to broken, outdated, unsafe or unclear links when a better official source is available.
  • Publishing booking or emergency claims that only the venue can confirm.

Editorial Workflow

Research the venue: The writer identifies the official venue website, location, public contact details and important visitor/planner resources.
Verify core details: Address, phone, map and official links are checked manually before they are included.
Write practical guidance: The page explains what to click, what to confirm and which official department or page may handle the task.
Review for user safety: Editors check for ticketing cautions, emergency disclaimers, official-source reminders and wording that might mislead visitors.
Monitor and update: Important pages and links are reviewed over time. Reader reports and official-source changes help trigger updates.

Unique Content Requirement

Each venue page should be written as a unique guide, not as a thin template. A strong page should include venue-specific context, local navigation help, official source paths, parking or transit considerations, event attendee guidance, planner/exhibitor next steps and practical cautions. Repeating the same paragraphs across hundreds of venue pages does not help users and can weaken site quality.

Final Authority Reminder

Even when our content has been manually reviewed, the official convention center, city authority, event organizer, box office, parking provider or service partner remains the final authority for venue operations, event entry, fees, schedules, security and bookings.
