Address, Entrances, Phone Number and Map

First Financial Center — Cincinnati Convention Center

Official address: 525 Elm Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202, United States.

Former name: Duke Energy Convention Center.

Telephone: (513) 419-7300.

Location: Downtown Cincinnati convention district, near Fifth and Elm Streets.

Official website: thefirstfinancialcenter.com.

The convention center occupies the downtown area between major streets including Elm, Fifth and Sixth. Public entrances are commonly located at Fifth and Elm and Sixth and Elm.

The official accessibility desk is at the Fifth and Elm entrance. Depending on your conference, your organizer may direct you to another entry point for badges, security screening or registration.

Do not confuse the venue: Northern Kentucky Convention Center is in Covington, Kentucky, across the Ohio River. First Financial Center is in Cincinnati, Ohio. These are different event venues.

Cincinnati Convention Center Parking: Garages, Prices & Directions

The downtown Cincinnati convention center does not publish one universal parking price applicable to every nearby garage. Several independently operated garages and paid street spaces serve the area.

Three Officially Recommended Parking Garages

GarageEntry addressBest use
Convention Center Garage 212 W. Fourth Street or 270 W. Fifth Street General attendees seeking convenient downtown convention parking.
5th & Race Garage 120 W. Fifth Street Visitors arriving from central downtown and Fifth Street.
605 Plum Street Garage 605 Plum Street Recommended by the venue for exhibitors and visitors accessing the loading dock or Security Console.

How Much Does Parking Cost?

Parking is paid, but a reliable single October 2026 rate table for all three garages was not published on the venue’s official directions page. Garage operators may use different hourly, daily or special-event prices.

To avoid surprise fees: Compare the posted garage rate, event flat rate, overnight allowance and re-entry rules before entering. Do not assume parking is included with event admission.

Which Garage Should You Choose?

General Convention Attendee

Start with Convention Center Garage or 5th & Race Garage. Compare the route from the garage exit to your assigned Fifth or Sixth Street entrance.

Exhibitor or Contractor

Consider 605 Plum Street Garage, which the venue specifically identifies for access near its Security Console and loading dock. Freight vehicles require separate instructions.

Parking Micro-Step Guide

  1. Check your event confirmation. Look for a recommended garage, parking code or event discount.
  2. Choose a specific garage. Use the garage’s actual street address instead of only entering “Cincinnati Convention Center.”
  3. Check your vehicle clearance. Large vans, trucks and vehicles with roof equipment may exceed posted limits.
  4. Read the entry rate board. Confirm the applicable fee, payment method and whether overnight parking is allowed.
  5. Park in an authorized space. Avoid reserved areas and loading-dock lanes.
  6. Save your location. Record the parking level and pedestrian exit.
  7. Follow the event entrance signs. Security and registration queues may differ by event.
  8. Pay and exit as instructed. Save any required ticket, receipt or digital payment confirmation.

Cincinnatus Ballroom, Queen City Ballroom and Other Meeting Spaces

Cincinnatus Ballroom — Level 3

Cincinnatus is the larger of the venue’s two principal ballrooms. It offers approximately 40,000 square feet, high ceilings and a large pre-function area with views toward Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Elm Street Plaza

An approximately 2.5-acre public and programmable outdoor area beside the convention center, featuring walking paths, fountains, shaded areas and event space.

Space planning tip: If you need a business conference with several simultaneous presentations, combine a general-session ballroom with separate meeting rooms. For a large exhibit floor, use the first-floor halls instead.

Floor Plans: Which Level Is Your Event On?

The First Financial Center publishes official downloadable plans for three levels. Visitors should locate their assigned hall or ballroom before arriving.

Level 2Meeting rooms, event circulation and conference support areasUse the level map for assigned breakout rooms.

How to Download Your Floor Plan

  1. Open the venue’s official floor-plan and capacity page.
  2. Select the Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 plan.
  3. Download the relevant floor-plan document to your phone.
  4. Find your assigned exhibition hall, ballroom or room number.
  5. Check your event’s preferred entrance and badge collection area.
  6. Use the on-site signage to reach the correct room.

The same official resource provides an all-level plan and capacity chart. Keep in mind that organizers may use temporary partitions and registration arrangements not shown on the base building plan.

Cincinnati Convention Center Events, Tickets and Entry Hours

First Financial Center hosts conferences, trade shows, sporting events, meetings, consumer expos and special gatherings. Public events and business-only conferences have different admission requirements.

How to Find an Upcoming Event

  1. Visit the official convention center events page.
  2. Find your event’s exact name and date.
  3. Confirm the scheduled opening and closing times.
  4. Open the event organizer’s listing for admission and registration.
  5. Check whether tickets are sold in advance or at the event.
  6. Read the venue’s prohibited-item policy and any event-specific restrictions.
  7. Save your ticket, confirmation, registration badge instructions and assigned hall.
Ticketing: The venue states that public event organizers manage their own box office services. Ticket prices, refunds, re-entry rules and registration requirements are therefore event-specific. Do not assume the convention center itself sells every ticket.

What Are the Building’s Opening Hours?

The building does not have one universal public admission schedule for every event. Door-opening times, registration desks and access restrictions depend on the show or conference.

Arrive according to the organizer’s published instructions rather than relying only on general business office hours.

What About the New Marriott Convention Headquarters Hotel?

Cincinnati’s convention district redevelopment includes plans for a new 700-room Marriott headquarters hotel opposite the convention center, with meeting space and a proposed skybridge.

According to Visit Cincy’s current development timeline, the hotel’s opening is targeted for late 2028. It should not be treated as an operating hotel for an October 2026 convention visit.

Booking advice: Ask your event organizer whether an official hotel room block is available. Compare the full accommodation total, including taxes, parking, cancellation terms and breakfast.

Travelers considering conventions across the Ohio River can also read our Northern Kentucky Convention Center visitor guide. That venue is in Covington, so its meeting rooms and hotel connections do not apply to Cincinnati’s First Financial Center.

Accessible Parking and Drop-off

For convenient access, the venue recommends passenger drop-off near the Fifth and Elm entrance where appropriate. Surrounding parking garages have accessible spaces and elevators, though the best garage may depend on available spaces and your required entrance.
