What if DECC parking is full?

DECC’s overflow guidance describes public lots charging various amounts from approximately $1/hour to $10/day; these are reference ranges, not guaranteed current prices for every facility.

RV and oversized vehicle planning

RV parking is available without reservations, on a first-come, first-served basis. Electrical overnight RV spaces have a separate $80 charge in 2026. Oversized vehicles using multiple standard spaces are billed according to the number of spaces occupied.

RV rules: DECC does not accept advance RV parking reservations. Electric hookups cannot be assumed available, and the lot operator does not guarantee a space at arrival.

Duluth Skywalk to the DECC: How It Works

Downtown Duluth’s Skywalk System provides approximately 3.5 miles of climate-controlled pedestrian corridors linking buildings and parking facilities, including access over I-35 toward the DECC.

How to use the skywalk

  1. Ask your hotel’s front desk for the closest operating skywalk entry.
  2. Follow signs toward the DECC or waterfront district.
  3. Use the skywalk route crossing I-35 into the DECC complex.
  4. Check whether your event is in City Side, Harbor Side, AMSOIL Arena or another DECC venue.
  5. Follow building signs to the appropriate level and entrance.

The DECC parking ramp also has a skywalk connection. The ramp elevator serves the ground floor and the third-level skywalk connection.

Winter travel: The skywalk is especially useful when snow, ice, wind or cold weather makes outdoor walking difficult. It does not guarantee every business entrance stays open at all hours.

The DECC also publishes a 20% food, beverage and alcohol service charge, with applicable taxes. Event planners should request a complete written estimate rather than adding only the menu prices.
