Driving tip

Use Eisenhower Boulevard

The venue is accessed from the 17th Street district, and the Convention Center Connector bypass provides an additional route from US-1 and State Road 84 toward Eisenhower Boulevard.

Do not confuse this venue with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Fort Lauderdale; they are different facilities.

Map tip: The map shows the convention center campus. If arriving for a particular show, follow the organizer’s designated entry and parking instructions.

Driving approaches

From I-95 or Florida Turnpike

Connect to I-595 eastbound, take US-1 northbound, continue toward SE 17th Street and follow signs for Eisenhower Boulevard and the convention center.

From Fort Lauderdale Airport

Travel north on US-1 toward SE 17th Street, then follow the convention center direction signs. An appropriate Convention Center Connector route may also be available.

From the Beach / A1A

Follow A1A toward SE 17th Street, then continue toward Eisenhower Boulevard. Check bridge traffic and event congestion.

From US-1 / State Road 84

Use the newer Convention Center Connector bypass where permitted and follow current signs toward the convention campus.

The Convention Center Connector bypass opened as part of the 2025 expansion. It gives visitors another way to reach the campus without relying on the previous port checkpoint approach. Follow current road signs rather than outdated convention-center driving diagrams.

West Building vs East Building

West Building

The established convention portion includes exhibition and meeting facilities, guest circulation spaces and the covered parking skywalk connection.

Official drawings are published for the first, second and third floors, with corresponding capacity charts.

East Building

The expanded eastern facilities include newer waterfront event spaces, conference areas and connections within the enlarged campus.

Use the East Building floor plans for the assigned level and event-room location rather than relying on older pre-expansion maps.

How to find your room

  1. Check your event confirmation.

Look for the exact building, floor, hall and room name.

  2. Download the correct building map.

Use the West or East plan and the right floor.

  3. Find your registration area.

Badge desks may be located in pre-function spaces rather than inside the hall.

  4. Allow time to cross the campus.

A large exhibit hall, nearby ballroom and connected hotel may require substantial indoor walking.

06 / Travel and airport

Fort Lauderdale Airport to Broward Convention Center

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is the closest major airport. The convention district is only a few miles away, although the route depends on the terminal, transport service and traffic.

Taxi or Rideshare

Often the simplest option with luggage. Follow FLL terminal pickup signs and use 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard as your destination.

Traffic around Port Everglades and SE 17th Street can affect travel time.

Rental Car

Useful for a wider South Florida trip, but budget for event parking and the separate hotel parking charge.

The convention center garage prohibits overnight parking.

Miami International Airport

MIA is substantially farther south. Compare total transfer time, transport costs and flight schedules before choosing it over FLL.

Brightline / Regional Rail

Brightline Fort Lauderdale and regional transit connections can serve travelers from other South Florida cities. You will need a final local connection from the station to the convention district.

Omni publishes approximately 3.4 miles between its connected hotel and FLL airport, with a roughly 10-minute typical driving estimate. This is not a guaranteed airport transfer time during cruise arrivals, conferences or rush hours.
07 / Local transportation

Water Taxi, Rideshare, Port Everglades & Beach Access

Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi

Water Taxi services provide an alternative way to explore the Intracoastal Waterway, Las Olas Boulevard and waterfront areas.

Check the operating stops, fare and last return departure. It is a sightseeing and local transport option, not a substitute for an airport transfer.

Port Everglades

The convention center is beside the cruise port district, but cruise terminals and security access points have separate driving requirements.

Do not assume that a convention parking payment permits multi-day cruise parking.

Fort Lauderdale Beach

The beach is a short drive or local transport journey away. Allow additional time for beach traffic, bridge crossings and busy weekends.

SE 17th Street

Restaurants, stores, hotels and marina services cluster along this corridor. It is convenient for a meal outside the venue or shopping during longer stays.

08 / Accessibility

Accessible Parking, Wheelchairs & Visitor Assistance

The venue provides accessible parking, ramps, elevators, accessible restrooms and automatic entrance doors. It also participates in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, allowing visitors to indicate discreetly that they may need additional assistance or time.

Guest Services: 954-765-5900
