Your First Decision

West Building vs. North and South Concourse: Which Address?

The most common first-visit mistake is navigating to the wrong building. A generic search for “Orange County Convention Center” may direct you to an entrance far from your event.

West Building

West Concourse

9800 International Drive

Use for events assigned to West exhibit halls, Valencia Ballroom, Chapin Theater and other West Building meeting areas.

North-South Building

North Concourse

9400 Universal Boulevard

Use when the organizer specifies North Concourse, North Hall A or another North-side space.

North-South Building

South Concourse

9899 International Drive

Use when the organizer specifies South Concourse or a South-side hall and registration location.

Event location Navigation address Check first
West 9800 International Drive Hall letter, West lobby and parking area.
North 9400 Universal Boulevard North registration and current construction routing.
South 9899 International Drive South registration, parking and hotel bridge.
Unknown Do not choose a generic address yet. Find the building on your ticket or event website.
Important 2026 route update: Convention Way along the North-South Building closed February 26, 2026, for the Grand Concourse project and is expected to remain closed during construction. Old maps and saved driving routes may lead to a blocked approach.

How to identify your correct building

Read the event registration email.

Look for West, North, South, a specific hall or a ballroom name.

Identify the assigned registration area.

It may not be at the entrance closest to your hotel.

Select the matching address.

Use the West, North or South directional address above.

Choose parking or hotel access for that side.

Do not assume all parking areas and hotel bridges are interchangeable.

2026 Construction Advisory

North-South Grand Concourse Project: What Visitors Need to Know

The North-South Building is undergoing improvements associated with the Grand Concourse project. The center continues hosting events, but certain roads, pedestrian approaches and building areas are affected.

Current closure: Convention Way along the North-South Building closed on February 26, 2026, for the Grand Concourse project duration. Do not assume that a previous GPS approach remains usable.

What this means for your visit

If attending a North event

Use 9400 Universal Boulevard for initial navigation, then follow current event-specific parking and pedestrian instructions.

If attending a South event

Use 9899 International Drive, then confirm the permitted South-side access and any changed drop-off arrangements.

If arriving by rideshare

Confirm the event’s pickup/drop-off location before requesting the ride. Temporary access arrangements may change curbside service.

If using a wheelchair or scooter

Ask for the latest step-free pedestrian route if your normal entrance or walkway is affected.

Check venue announcements and event emails shortly before traveling. A construction update should not be interpreted as a closure of the entire convention campus.

Nearby and Connected Hotels

Hotels Near Orange County Convention Center Orlando

The convention center is surrounded by hotels, but the most useful hotel depends on which building and hall you will attend. Five pedestrian bridges connect the convention campus with four nearby hotels.

Hotel Connection Best consideration
Hyatt Regency Orlando Connected pedestrian routes to the convention campus. Useful for West-side events and cross-campus access.
Rosen Plaza Hotel Pedestrian bridge toward West Hall F. Convenient for West events near Hall F.
Rosen Centre Hotel Pedestrian bridge toward West Hall A. Convenient for events toward the Hall A side.
Hilton Orlando Pedestrian connection to South Concourse. Practical for South-side conventions.
Best hotel-selection rule: A hotel near the correct hall can save significant walking time. Do not choose solely by the shortest straight-line distance to a generic convention center map pin.

What to compare before booking a hotel

  • Confirm the event building and hall before choosing accommodation.
  • Check which pedestrian bridge serves your event location.
  • Compare nightly rates including taxes, resort fees and parking.
  • Check whether your event offers a negotiated hotel block.
  • Review breakfast hours for early conference schedules.
  • Confirm cancellation, luggage storage and accessible room arrangements.
  • Ask whether any shuttle operates for your particular event.

A pedestrian bridge can be useful in Orlando’s summer heat and rain, but not every connecting route has the same operating restrictions. Confirm the current route with the hotel before travel.
