  2. Select the correct date. Find your event and open its detail page.
  3. Check ticket requirements. Look for public access, pricing, registration and age restrictions.
  4. Use the authorized seller. Follow the official event ticket link or the venue’s ticketing platform where applicable.
  5. Save your confirmation. Keep your tickets and event entrance details ready before arrival.

Owensboro Convention Center Parking: Free Lots, Garage & Event Rates

The official venue parking page confirms 174 standard parking spaces and nine accessible spaces on-site. Parking is free for most events, but charges can apply to selected special events.

Parking optionWhat visitors should know
Convention Center lot 174 standard spaces and nine ADA spaces; normally complimentary, subject to event restrictions.
Downtown Owensboro Parking Garage Across the street east of the venue; the center states there are more than 400 spaces.
Additional downtown garages Options in the Locust, Daviess and Allen Street areas. Rates and opening conditions vary.
Street parking Check posted time limits, reserved spaces, closures and local restrictions.
RV parking Limited to event attendees by arrangement. Contact the event manager about hookups and permission.

Is parking free?

Usually yes. The venue states parking is complimentary for the majority of events. However, major festivals and special celebrations sometimes operate paid parking.

For example, the 2026 July 4 celebration and Owensboro Air Show published $10 parking in the convention center lot. That amount was specific to those events, not a universal daily rate.

Don’t confuse hotel parking with public event parking.

The Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn next door have parking areas intended for hotel guests. Do not park in hotel-only spaces simply because you are attending an event nearby.

Where should you park? A simple decision guide

  1. Check the event listing. Find whether the organizer has published a parking fee, reservation system or restricted lot.
  2. Try the designated venue lot. Arrive before the main crowd if you need the closest spaces.
  3. Use downtown alternatives if necessary. The large garage east of the building is an option; check signs and payment terms.
  4. Keep the hotel lots clear. Follow property-specific parking rules.
  5. Save your vehicle location. Note the garage, level and street before walking to the venue.
