Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) is the Orlando convention venue most searchers mean. It is a 7-million-square-foot campus with a West Building and a North-South complex, so “drive to the convention center” is not enough. OCCC’s official floor-plan tool covers the entire 7-million-square-foot campus and separates the full facility, North-South Building and West Building. That distinction is more useful than a generic map pin once you are close.

North Concourse vs South Concourse: how the names work
OCCC’s FAQ describes three directional buildings/addresses, while other venue material groups North and South together as the North-South Building. Both descriptions are useful: North-South is one large operating complex, but visitors still need the correct side.

Parking without stale fixed prices
The current OCCC parking page is more reliable than old blogs and event pages that still repeat a fixed $21.30/$42.60 structure. OCCC now states that rates vary by vehicle size and entry time; Getting Here also notes event variation.

Which connected hotel actually helps your hall?
OCCC says nearly 10,000 hotel rooms are within walking distance and five pedestrian bridges connect the campus with four surrounding hotels. “Connected” is useful only if the bridge serves the side you need.

Pedestrian safety if you are not using a bridge
OCCC’s district guidance recommends marked crosswalks and pedestrian signals and notes rapid-flashing beacons at major unsignalized crossings. In summer heat or rain, a bridge-connected route can also reduce outdoor exposure, but do not assume every part of the walk is enclosed or climate-controlled.
Airport, rideshare, taxi and I-Drive movement
OCCC’s current FAQ places Orlando International Airport about 12 miles away. OCCC’s Getting Here page also says rideshare geofencing directs users to one of three pickup points based on their campus location.

OCCC’s onsite FedEx Office accepts direct FedEx shipments up to 150 lb. The current venue FedEx page says a $2–$35 handling fee per package can apply when the package is picked up at the OCCC branch.

Move-in, contractor access and utility checks
Exhibitor arrival is a different workflow from attendee arrival. OCCC is the exclusive provider for electricity, aerial rigging/lighting, water fill/drain, natural gas/propane, compressed air and cable TV services.
Planner workflow: floor plans, RFP fields and the October rate-guide switch
OCCC’s planner path is much more specific than “submit an inquiry.” The current RFP asks for event timing, exhibit footprint, projected attendance, booth count, meeting-room requirements and hotel-room demand before the sales team can evaluate fit.
Use the current West or North-South floor plan for room-level requirements and event flow.
The RFP asks for preferred start date plus move-in, event, conference and move-out days—not just one headline date.
Prepare projected attendance, total exhibit square footage and projected exhibitors/booths.
The form asks for number of meeting rooms, size of the largest room, peak room nights and total room nights.
OCCC also asks for projected food-and-beverage budget and recent past event sites, which helps the sales team understand scale.

What changed around the North-South Building?
The $560-million Grand Concourse project is the biggest current route change. OCCC says it will add 44,000 sq ft of meeting space and a 100,000-sq-ft ballroom; construction is expected through 2029.

Who owns OCCC, and which sustainability claims are current?
OCCC’s official FAQ says the convention center is part of Orange County Florida Government. The venue’s sustainability page identifies the North-South Building as LEED O+M: Existing Buildings certified and says OCCC meets the ISO 14001:2015 environmental-management standard.
