Confirm that the event is actually on the BCC calendar, then use the organizer for ticket/badge pickup, public hours, bag rules, re-entry and the exact lobby or hall.
Need parking
There is no on-site public BCC parking. Choose a nearby garage first, then compare the walking route to your event entrance and the garage closing time.
Want the easiest walk
Hilton currently lists an enclosed skybridge. Hyatt’s convention walkway is closed for repairs through November 2026, so the usual “connected hotel” label can be misleading.
Moving freight or building a booth
Use the July 13 operations guide plus your show manual. Public entrances, attendee parking and generic maps are not dock or marshaling instructions.
Is there an event today, and what comes next?
August 17, 2026: the current BCC location schedule shows BrickFair LEGO Fan Expo ending August 16 and the next dated public listing, the Bi-Annual North American Singles Conference (NASCON), beginning September 3 and running through September 6. We found no official public calendar event listed for August 17. That is a calendar observation—not a claim that the building is closed or unused today.
The venue calendar also carries later event names such as Star City Games (SCG) Con and Latino Builders Show, but the location-list result does not expose a reliable date for every later listing. For a trip, ticket or hotel booking, confirm the date on the event’s own page rather than copying a date from a reseller or stale snippet.

Use 1 W Pratt Street—but do not stop at the map pin
The official address is One West Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201. A large convention can assign its own public entrance, registration lobby, accessibility desk or exhibitor route, so the best door is the one named by your event.
Pratt Street side
Official Level 200 material includes the Pratt Street Entrance. Some events use it heavily for registration, shuttles or attendee flow.
Charles Street side
Event organizers can designate the Charles Street Lobby. AWP’s 2026 visual-cue page, for example, used this side for its own event—useful evidence that entrance instructions can be event-specific.
Loading dock
For move-in/out, the official directions page routes dock traffic from South Charles Street. The entrance is between the Center and the adjacent hotel area at the Public Safety Office entrance.
Fast rule: search your confirmation email for “entrance,” “registration,” “Hall,” “Lobby,” or a Level-300 room number before opening turn-by-turn navigation.
Parking: reserve a nearby garage, then check the exit plan
The BCC’s current FAQ says there is no on-site public parking. The official directions page recommends reserving nearby parking in advance through SpotHero. Because the garages are third-party facilities, there is no single honest “Baltimore Convention Center parking price.”

Halls A–G, Swing Hall and why the side of the building matters
The official Level 100 page lists 300,000 total square feet of exhibit space and Halls A through G, with a separately listed 32,000-square-foot Swing Hall. Knowing the hall changes your walking route, dock assignment and hotel convenience.

Connected hotels: Hilton is the simpler 2026 indoor-link choice
Current Hyatt warning: Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor says its connecting walkway to the Convention Center is closed for repairs through November 2026. Do not book based on an older “connected by walkway” snippet without planning the outdoor alternate route.

Hotel-room-block rule: if your conference publishes an official block, compare its cancellation deadline, cut-off date and included benefits before booking retail. A hotel can be geographically close but operationally inconvenient if your event is on the opposite side of the center.
Transit can remove the parking problem—but check the day-of schedule
MDOT MTA’s current Light RailLink schedule includes a stop named Convention Center. Current route schedules show service north toward Penn Station connections and south toward the BWI Airport/Glen Burnie corridor.
Airport traveler
Light Rail can be a low-friction option when service is running normally. With luggage or a very early/late event, compare direct taxi/rideshare.
Amtrak/MARC traveler
Current Light Rail schedules include a Penn Station branch and Convention Center stop. Verify the exact branch and same-day timetable.
Do not reuse an old timetable
Construction, storms and service adjustments can affect rail. Use the live MDOT MTA page the day you travel.
Map to One West Pratt Street
Use the map for the venue campus, then switch to the event’s exact entrance, hall or room. A generic pin cannot tell you where registration is.
Cashless payments, food, water, bags and coat/luggage check
Cashless payments
BCC accepts card or touchless payment. If you arrive with cash only, a free cash-to-card kiosk is on Level 300 West near Meeting Room 327. The prepaid card cannot be refilled, does not expire and can be used elsewhere.
Food and drinks
The public FAQ says outside food and beverages are not allowed. Levy is the exclusive food-and-beverage provider; which concessions are open depends on the event setup.
Water refill
Water stations are listed on Levels 100–400, including outside restrooms on Levels 100 and 300, Otterbein Lobby on Level 200, and near Ballrooms 3/4 restrooms on Level 400.
Do not assume there is a universal bag or coat-check policy
Bag size, security screening and prohibited-item rules can be event-specific. The July 2026 operations guide says Levy can arrange coat and luggage check for an event; that is an organizer-planned service, not a guarantee that walk-up coat check exists at every show.
Business-center source conflict: the current public FAQ says BCC is developing a new business-center provider and tells guests to contact the show/CSM for shipping. The newer July 13 operations guide still names CharmCityPASS at the 300-Level Pratt Street Lobby. Because the two current official sources do not perfectly align, confirm the active provider before shipping, printing or relying on walk-up service.
Accessibility details worth arranging before event day
BCC states that all entrances are accessible and provides accessible elevators, public restrooms, large-print/Braille signage, flashing-strobe and voice emergency alerts, assisted-listening capabilities, nursing rooms and KultureCity sensory resources. It does not provide guest wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

Décor and cleanup rules that can trigger charges

One deadline that deserves separate attention: floor plans
The July operations guide says event floor plans should be submitted at least 90 days before move-in and 30 days before publishing/distributing material containing that layout. If an approved plan changes, the revised plan must be approved at least seven business days before move-in.

Hyatt pedestrian bridge
BCC’s capital page describes a $5.8M restoration planned through 2026. Hyatt separately says the connecting walkway is closed for repairs through November 2026.
Sharp + Pratt waterproofing
BCC lists waterproofing work addressing water intrusion along Sharp and Pratt Street corridors with completion expected in 2026.
Restroom enhancements
Halls E, Swing, F and G are part of a phased 2026 restroom modernization program, alongside safety/command-center upgrades.
