The Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado is at 700 14th Street, Denver, CO 80202. For a smooth visit, do not stop at the address: confirm today’s event, your hall or ballroom, ticket or badge method, bag/security rule and transportation plan before leaving.
The center has six exhibit halls, multiple levels, Bellco Theatre, a 24/7 paid garage and major RTD service changes in 2026. This guide turns those details into an attendee, exhibitor and planner decision path.

Do these five checks before you open Maps
- Open the official event listing. Confirm that your event is actually at the Colorado Convention Center rather than Bellco Theatre or another Denver venue.
- Find the hall, room or ballroom. “700 14th Street” gets you to the complex, not necessarily to registration.
- Identify admission type. AXS ticket, organizer badge, exhibitor credential and free spectator admission are different workflows.
- Read the event-specific restriction note. Do not import a clear-bag rule from another graduation, expo or Bellco show.
- Then choose parking, RTD or a hotel walk. The 2026 rail reconstruction makes old transit screenshots especially risky.

As of August 18, 2026, two convention-center events are active on the official calendar: ACM SIGCOMM 2026 (Aug 17–21; 800 published attendees) and Newtopia Now 2026 (Aug 18–20; 10,000 published attendees). Xerocon begins Aug 19, and CubingUSA Rocky Mountain Championships begins Aug 21.

Today means today: use the official event calendar for the date, then open the individual event page. A venue calendar can tell you the event is present, but the organizer usually controls badge pickup, daily agenda, refund terms, public access and show-floor rules.
Do not use a generic “capacity 5,000” listing for the whole center. The 5,000-seat figure refers to Bellco Theatre; the convention center itself contains six large exhibit halls, meeting-room levels and ballrooms with many different setups.

Navigation rule: map the building only after you know your hall. Exhibit Hall A versus F, the meeting rooms, Four Seasons/Mile High, the rooftop Bluebird Ballroom and Bellco can create very different walks.

Parking rates, garage rules and backup plan
The current official parking page lists a 772-space onsite covered garage but warns that current capacity is reduced and the garage can fill quickly. The page recommends planning alternatives, rideshare or public transportation for busy events.

Important: the venue’s current page still warns that garage capacity is reduced “due to the expansion.” Even though major rooftop expansion work is complete, this is the live official parking warning as of this audit, so plan for the possibility of an alternate garage rather than assuming 772 spaces are available.
Bag and security rules: check your event, not a generic policy
There is no single general clear-bag policy published for every Colorado Convention Center convention, trade show and conference. The official events page instead tells visitors to check the individual event listing for potential restriction information.

Bellco is different: its current theatre page prohibits outside food/beverages, illegal drugs, weapons, air horns/noisemakers, non-service animals and potentially hazardous personal items; possessions are subject to inspection and re-entry is not permitted. Do not automatically apply that entire list to a separate convention-center expo.
Why search results can be misleading: for example, CU Denver commencement publishes its own screening and prohibited-item rules for its ceremony in Exhibit Halls A/F. That is useful for that commencement, but it is not proof of a permanent center-wide clear-bag rule. Always match the policy to your event.
Tickets, AXS and convention badge pickup
“Colorado Convention Center tickets” can mean two different things. Many conventions use organizer registration or badges, while ticketed shows may use AXS. The center itself does not operate a daily box office.
No daily box office
An AXS-operated box office opens only during event times. The venue says there are no phone ticket sales.
AXS Mobile Delivery
Many ticketed events use AXS Mobile ID. Have the app/account and ticket ready before you reach the scanning point.
Convention badge
If your event is a conference, registration may not appear on AXS at all. Use the organizer’s attendee portal and badge-pickup instructions.
Useful Denver ticket option: the official venue ticket page says the City of Denver offers an AXS outlet at the Colorado Coliseum box office on Saturdays from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. for ticketed CCC/Bellco events. It notes that online service fees are avoided there, although credit-card purchases carry a nominal processing fee and an AXS account is required.
Third-party ticket warning: the venue says tickets bought from unofficial third-party sources are not authenticated through AXS and may not be valid; its box office cannot assist with those orders.

Need to print or ship? The current onsite-vendor page says the convention center does not have an office/ship center onsite. It directs users to nearby FedEx/office locations, including 650 15th St. Exhibitors should also avoid sending packages directly to the center unless their show kit specifically instructs them to do so.
Venue-directory shortcut: the official directory also separates the Building Map, Street Level Map, Exhibit Level Map, Ballroom Level Map and Bellco Theatre Map. Pick the map that matches your event instead of opening a generic floor plan.
Floor plan: choose the correct level before arrival
The direct Colorado Convention Center event-space page currently lists 584,000 contiguous square feet of exhibit/event space, divisible into six halls. Some VISIT DENVER overview copy still says 577,000, while its own floor-plan hub shows 584,000. For current exhibit planning, this guide prioritizes the direct venue page and current all-level map.

Why 577,000 and 584,000 both appear online: official pages are not fully synchronized. The current direct venue exhibit page and all-level map use 584,000 sq ft; older/partner descriptive copy can still show 577,000. Do not add the two or treat them as separate spaces.
What the official maps and technical PDFs reveal
The public website is enough for most attendees. The official all-level map, technical-information PDF and current dimensions/capacities PDF add details that are especially useful to exhibitors, planners, production teams and anyone moving equipment.

Halls A–F form the large contiguous exhibit layer. The map shows the six-hall arrangement above the street/meeting level.
Meeting + ballroom circulation
The meeting-room layer sits above/around the public concourse, with Four Seasons, Mile High and Bellco called out separately on the all-level map.
Street context
14th, Champa, Welton and Speer frame different sides of the building, explaining why one “main entrance” instruction is not enough for every event.

Measurement note: these architectural-net hall figures sum differently from the venue’s 584,000-sq-ft contiguous exhibit marketing figure. They are different measurement conventions, not a reason to assume the venue lost or gained space overnight.
Room capacity is setup-dependent
The current dimensions/capacities PDF is more useful than a bare square-foot number. For example, combined Rooms 201/203/205/207 total 10,260 sq ft and are listed for up to 1,248 theatre-style seats, 750 banquet seats or 560 classroom seats, subject to Fire Marshal approval. Individual Rooms 602 and 606 are 783 sq ft. Capacity changes with risers, head tables and layout.

RTD in 2026: rebuild old light-rail directions
Older guides often tell visitors to use D, H or L trains through downtown. That advice is not current. RTD’s Downtown Rail Reconstruction began its next phase June 7, 2026 and is expected to continue through Q1 2027.
Current rail impact: D, H and L are suspended. The C Line is temporarily back to connect Littleton•Mineral with Union Station; a temporary T Line operates on the southeast corridor; Route 43 and other buses cover parts of the affected downtown service.

Union Station arrival: RTD specifically points C Line riders toward the 16th Street FreeRide or Free MetroRide for the Downtown Loop. This is more reliable than assuming the old convention-center light-rail stop pattern still operates.
Denver airport to the convention center
The RTD A Line continues to connect Denver Airport Station and Union Station. Current schedules show trips of roughly 37 minutes between the endpoints on many departures. From Union Station, continue downtown using the current RTD Downtown Loop/FreeRide options, walk if practical, or use rideshare.
A Line fare
The current RTD Airport Day Pass is $10 for standard fare-paying riders and covers systemwide travel for the service day, including the airport.
Best for
Solo travelers and attendees without heavy exhibit freight who want to avoid downtown parking.

Same-day A Line service alerts, late-night return timing and the downtown transfer route after Union Station.

Ownership, operator and LEED Gold
Denver Arts & Venues (DAV) is a City and County of Denver agency responsible for operating the Colorado Convention Center. DAV’s current impact reporting describes the Colorado Convention Center as owned by DAV, while City venue materials also identify the facility as City-owned. The venue website currently operates within a partnership/management ecosystem that also includes Legends Global, Sodexo Live! and VISIT DENVER.
Why ownership matters to visitors
The building owner/operator, event organizer and ticket seller can be different entities. Building-wide information should come from the venue/City; admission and program rules should come from the individual event.
LEED Gold
The venue’s current certification page states that it has been LEED certified for Existing Building, Operations and Maintenance since 2010 and identifies the certification as LEED Gold.
