| Ticket category | Verified sample price | Admission rule |
|---|---|---|
| Adult (12+) | $36.38 | Individual timed-entry ticket |
| Child (4–11) | $26.38 | Must attend with a paid adult |

Price reference: official Gaylord Opryland ticket listing for Friday, November 6, 2026, at 12:15 PM CST. These are date-specific displayed prices, not guaranteed prices for every session. Confirm any additional transaction charges and final checkout amount before purchasing.
Admission to the walk-through ICE! experience, including its hand-carved sculptures, frozen scenes and eligible ice slides. The attraction provides a blue parka to wear during your visit. Parking, tubing, skating, meals, hot chocolate and separately ticketed activities are not automatically included.
What might a family actually spend?
| Visitors | Ticket calculation | Sample subtotal |
|---|---|---|
| 2 adults | 2 × $36.38 | $72.76 |
| 2 adults + 1 child (4–11) | $72.76 + $26.38 | $99.14 |
| 2 adults + 2 children (4–11) | $72.76 + $52.76 | $125.52 |
| 2 adults + 1 child under 4 | $72.76 + free child | $72.76 |
These subtotals use the single verified November 6 session and exclude separately charged parking, optional activities and any additional checkout charges.
Do ICE! tickets sell out?
Popular holiday dates and entry sessions have limited capacity. Thanksgiving week, weekends and the period around Christmas are sensible dates to book ahead rather than relying on same-day availability. No particular session is guaranteed to be available.

What’s new this season?
ICE! featuring Home Alone
Explore a frozen version of the McCallister home and recognizable scenes featuring Kevin and the Wet Bandits.
The attraction features approximately two million pounds of ice, 10 movie-inspired scenes, sculpted tunnels and ice slides. The resort’s published experience is usually 20–40 minutes, although visitors may spend longer within their permitted visit.
ICE! is held at the Gaylord Opryland Events Center, near the Opry Mills shopping complex—not in a normal hotel meeting room.
How to Buy Gaylord Opryland ICE! Tickets
The resort uses advance online ticketing and electronic admission. Here is the complete booking process so you know what to select before opening checkout.
- Open the official ticket calendar. Use Gaylord Opryland’s ICE! ticket page. Confirm the listing says Home Alone and Nashville.
- Choose your visit date. Select a day between November 6, 2026, and January 2, 2027, when tickets are offered.
- Choose the actual admission time. Look at your travel and parking plans before selecting the timed entry. You cannot assume an early or late arrival will be accepted.
- Select the correct ticket categories. Use adult tickets for ages 12+, child tickets for ages 4–11 and the published free-admission policy for children 3 and under. All visitors younger than 18 must attend with a paying adult.
- Review optional additions. The system may offer other holiday experiences or activity bundles. Remove extras you do not want.
- Apply one eligible promotion. If you qualify for a published discount, use its valid code or designated offer before checkout. Promotions generally cannot be stacked.
- Review the complete total. Check the chosen date, time, category quantities, service or processing charges and any selected insurance.
- Complete the purchase and save the e-ticket. Tickets are delivered by email. Each paid admission needs the appropriate QR code. Save your confirmation before leaving home.
- Arrive at the scheduled time. Allow enough time for holiday traffic, parking and walking to the Events Center. The resort recommends being at the attraction entrance about five minutes early.
Official ticket terms say guests enter the queue at their designated time. Late arrivals may need assistance from Guest Services and an alternative session is subject to availability. Don’t assume a flexible arrival window.
ICE! Discounts, Bundles & Hotel Packages
There are several ways to reduce your total holiday outing cost, but the cheapest option depends on whether you want ICE! alone, multiple attractions or an overnight hotel stay.
ICE! admission only
Best for visitors who mainly want the ice sculptures and slides. Compare dates and entry times instead of purchasing unnecessary extras.
Silver activity pass
The resort advertises bundles combining ICE!, ice tubing and a scavenger hunt, with savings advertised up to 20% for qualifying packages.
Gold activity pass
Designed for a longer visit, with additional activities such as skating and refreshments depending on the package. Advertised savings can reach 30%.
Overnight ICE! package
The published Home Alone room package uses offer code 1GC and includes accommodation with 2–5 single-entry ICE! tickets, subject to its terms. SoundWaves is excluded.
Teacher, military, AAA, senior and Marriott member offers may be available for qualifying dates and products. Review eligibility requirements and blackout dates rather than assuming a discount applies automatically.
See current official holiday offers and room packages.
If your family wants only ICE!, compare admission-only totals first. If you plan on tubing and skating, compare the final bundle checkout against buying activities separately. Staying overnight is useful when you want a full resort visit, but remember that hotel taxes, parking and any applicable resort fee may increase your total cost.
Parking at ICE! Gaylord Opryland: Free vs Paid
The parking decision can meaningfully change the cost of a family visit. The main resort publishes paid parking, while the official ICE! visitor information also identifies nearby free Opry Mills parking.
| Parking option | Published cost | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Resort self-parking | $37 + tax per day | Follow resort guest-parking signs; day visitors are charged per entry. |
| Resort valet | $55 + tax per day | Convenient if you need resort drop-off and valet services. |
| Opry Mills | Free in designated mall lots | The official ICE! FAQ identifies lots closest to Gaylord Opryland Events Center as an option. Follow posted property and holiday parking restrictions. |
How to reach the attraction
- For paid hotel parking, navigate to 2800 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN 37214.
- For the nearby shopping-center parking option, use Opry Mills and follow signs toward the Gaylord Opryland Events Center.
- Look for ICE! / holiday attraction signage rather than assuming the hotel front desk is your entry point.
- Build in extra time for seasonal traffic and pedestrian access.
- Check the venue’s current signage and any parking restrictions upon arrival.

What to Wear Inside the 9°F ICE! Attraction
The temperature is approximately 9°F (about −13°C). Even when Nashville feels mild outside, the attraction is intentionally kept extremely cold.
Provided by the resort
- Hooded blue winter parka
- Parka sizes for infants through adult 4XL
- Cold-weather outer layer for the exhibit
Bring or wear yourself
- Warm long pants
- Closed-toe shoes with suitable grip
- Warm socks
- Gloves and winter hat
- Warm layers underneath the parka
Special hiking boots are not necessary because the attraction walkways are carpeted. However, shoes must be appropriate for walking safely on potentially slippery surfaces, especially if you want to use the slides.
The resort requires its provided blue parka and suitable closed-toe footwear for ice-slide participation.
ICE! Slides: Age, Height & Safety Rules
The slides are a major attraction for families, but admission to ICE! does not mean every visitor can use every slide.
| Visitor / condition | Slide guidance |
|---|---|
| Adults and older children | Eligible for appropriate slides if they can follow the safety instructions and independently climb the steps. |
| Children under 4 or under 40 inches | May use the children’s slide only if able to walk up the stairs independently. |
| Infants and visitors unable to climb steps | May not ride the slides. |
| Wheelchairs and strollers | Cannot access the ice slides. |
| All slide riders | One rider at a time; wear the issued blue parka and appropriate footwear. |
Do not slide headfirst, lie on your stomach, stand on the slide or bring loose articles onto the ice. Guests with certain medical or mobility considerations should review the full official safety guidance before planning to ride.
The walk-through exhibit itself accommodates many visitors who do not wish to use the slides.
Accessibility, Strollers & Family Planning
Wheelchair access
The attraction’s main walk-through experience is largely wheelchair accessible, but the slides are not. Ask the resort about a specific route or accommodation before travel if required.
Strollers
Small strollers are allowed if they do not obstruct traffic. Side-by-side or oversized stroller arrangements and wagons are restricted. No dedicated stroller parking is listed.
Young children
Children 3 and under enter free with a paying adult. Expect a very cold environment and consider how much time your child can comfortably spend inside.
Photography
Personal photography is permitted, but tripods, additional lighting and similar equipment are restricted. Camera lenses may fog when transitioning back into warmer air.
For help with a specific access requirement, contact Gaylord Opryland at 615-889-1000.
Important 2026 Holiday Resort Access Restrictions
Gaylord Opryland has published extra access controls for busy holiday periods. After 3:00 PM Central Time, resort access is guaranteed for overnight hotel guests or holders of qualifying indoor or outdoor event reservations on these dates:
- Fridays and Saturdays beginning November 20, 2026.
- November 23–26, 2026.
- December 18–31, 2026.
Visitors without qualifying reservations may still be able to visit earlier on restricted days or on listed unrestricted dates, but access policies can change. Having a properly booked ICE! ticket helps establish your reservation status for the intended activity; it does not replace the requirement to follow entry procedures.
Walking into the resort, viewing holiday decorations and entering the ticketed ICE! attraction are separate matters. ICE! requires its own admission, even if you are staying at the hotel.
Can You Change or Cancel ICE! Tickets?
Day visitors
Tickets are generally non-refundable. Date or time exchanges may be possible if requested before the current reservation and if another session is available. Price differences may apply.
Overnight package guests
Special cancellation or exchange conditions may apply. The resort’s published FAQ sections contain differing advance-notice periods, so rely on the specific terms supplied with your ticket and room package.
To request a change, find your electronic confirmation email and reply to the ticket issuer before the scheduled admission time. Keep your booking number available. Optional ticket insurance is governed by its separate terms.
One-Day ICE! Nashville Visit Plan
For a family visiting mainly for ICE!, this practical sequence avoids overcomplicating the day.
- Before leaving home: Save all ticket QR codes, confirm admission time, check weather and pack hats, gloves and appropriate shoes.
- Approach the Opryland area: Follow the Events Center or selected parking route rather than relying solely on the resort’s hotel lobby address.
- Before admission: Locate restrooms, organize belongings and be ready for your exact timed-entry queue.
- Inside ICE!: Collect the issued parka, see the sculptures and follow instructions at the slides. Plan roughly 20–40 minutes, but leave flexibility.
- After leaving: Warm up, enjoy any additional activities you already purchased, or explore accessible resort holiday areas under the day’s access rules.
If you want to see what the property looks like before arriving, our Gaylord Opryland resort photos and map guide covers its atriums, waterways, indoor areas, guest rooms and convention spaces.
