Dallas Convention Center Lot E: Address, Parking Fees & Current Access

Dallas Convention Center Lot E is a surface parking area at 500 Memorial Drive, Dallas, TX 75202, associated with Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas. Historical official parking instructions listed a $12 daily entry rate, but Lot E is not currently among the two parking facilities recommended on the venue’s primary visitor page. Check availability before driving because convention-center redevelopment may affect access.

The convention center itself is at 650 South Griffin Street, Dallas, TX 75202. These are different destinations. Using the venue’s street address for parking can direct you toward an entrance or construction area rather than the intended parking lot.

DestinationNavigation LocationPurpose
Lot E 500 Memorial Drive Historical surface parking location; availability must be confirmed.
Convention Center 650 S Griffin Street General venue address, not a parking entrance.
Main Parking Garage Memorial Drive & S Griffin Street Currently published $20 official parking.
Lot C 502 S Lamar Street Currently published $17 surface parking.
Driving tip: Lot E, the convention center garage and Lot C are distinct parking areas. A parking pass purchased for one location should not be assumed valid at another.

How Much Does Dallas Convention Center Lot E Cost?

There are different published prices because the documents and listings are from different dates. A price shown on an older PDF does not guarantee that the lot is currently operating or accepting vehicles.

SourceListed PriceHow to Interpret It
Official April 2025 parking instructions $12 per day/entry Historical official rate, not a confirmed October 2026 charge.
ACE Parking online Lot E listing $13 displayed Shown as sold out when reviewed; no booking availability confirmed.
Current convention center parking page No current Lot E fee listed The venue currently directs general visitors to the garage and Lot C.

The correct amount to pay is the price shown by the parking operator for your selected location and date, not an old search result.

What if you need parking today?

  1. Open ACE Parking. Visit the operator’s convention center parking results .
  2. Look for the exact lot. Select “Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas Lot E” at 500 Memorial Drive, if it appears.
  3. Check availability. If it says sold out or is not bookable, do not treat the listed price as a valid parking reservation.
  4. Confirm the date and conditions. Review whether entry is permitted, how payment works, the last exit time and any construction restrictions.
  5. Use an available alternative. If Lot E cannot be booked or used, consider the official garage or Lot C.

Lot E vs Garage vs Lot C: Which Parking Is Better?

For most current convention visitors, the official parking garage and Lot C are easier to plan around because the venue publishes their rates, locations and capacities.

FacilityPriceCapacity / AccessRecommendation
Lot E $12 historical; $13 online listing Older maps show approximately 500 spaces; current availability unconfirmed. Use only after ACE confirms access.
Main Garage $20 per day/entry Approximately 1,200 spaces on levels G and P. Primary published option for general event parking.
Lot C $17 per day/entry Approximately 170 outdoor spaces. Published surface-lot alternative when spaces remain.
Private Downtown Parking Varies Different operators, rates and hours. Compare only if the route and parking rules suit your event.

Main Parking Garage

$20 per day, per entry

Entrance near Memorial Drive and South Griffin Street. Two levels, with approximately 1,200 spaces.

ACE’s published garage restrictions include 5 AM–midnight access and no overnight parking. Confirm any event-day changes.

Surface Lot C

$17 per day, per entry

Located at 502 South Lamar Street. The venue lists approximately 170 spaces and first-come, first-served parking.

Lot C may fill earlier than the larger garage. Check road access and the route to your event hall.

No standard re-entry: The convention center’s published parking charges are per day and per entry. Leaving to visit a hotel or restaurant can require another parking payment if you return.

Is Lot E Open During Dallas Convention Center Construction?

Lot E’s present-day public parking availability cannot be confirmed from the venue’s current parking page. ACE’s Lot E entry was marked sold out during this review. The site remains associated with a major redevelopment area.

In 2026, the City of Dallas began major demolition of convention center Halls D, E and F. The convention center continues operating in selected spaces within Halls A, B and C.

City redevelopment documents also identify the Lot E property as an area anticipated for future development, with associated utility relocation work. This makes old parking maps and historical availability particularly unreliable.

Important distinction: “Hall E” is a former convention center exhibit hall. “Lot E” is a named parking area. They are not the same facility, although redevelopment around the campus can affect both.

What to verify before heading to Lot E

  • Whether the surface lot is actually open on your event date.
  • Whether public parking is allowed or the area is restricted.
  • Whether the 500 Memorial Drive approach is accessible.
  • Whether an online parking pass can be purchased and used.
  • Whether the entrance, payment method or exit route has changed.
  • Whether construction affects the walk to your assigned hall.

How to Pay for Lot E Parking

ACE’s April 2025 parking document identified QR-code scan-to-pay and pay stations for Lot E. These describe the previously published payment process, not a guarantee that those facilities remain operational.

  1. Confirm Lot E is operating. Check the ACE listing or contact the parking operator before entering the property.
  2. Read all posted entry instructions. Follow current signs and any directions from staff.
  3. Use only authorized payment systems. Historical methods included payment kiosks and official QR-code signage.
  4. Check your parking location and vehicle details. Make sure payment applies to the actual lot where your vehicle is parked.
  5. Keep your receipt. Save a digital or printed copy according to the current operator instructions.
  6. Leave within permitted hours. Do not assume overnight parking or unlimited in-and-out access is allowed.
Parking payment safety: Use ACE’s official booking website or properly identified equipment at an operating facility. Avoid unofficial QR codes, unknown payment links or passes offered by unverified sellers.

For special parking arrangements, contact the ACE Parking manager at 214-670-4255.

RV, Trailer, Oversized and Accessible Parking

The older official Lot E document specifically identified the surface lot as a possible place for small trailer parking. It also directed RV and oversized-vehicle visitors to the parking manager for arrangements.

Vehicle or NeedRecommended Action
Regular passenger car Check current Lot E access. If unavailable, use the garage or Lot C.
Small trailer Historical guidance named Lot E, but confirm current permission before arrival.
RV or oversized vehicle Call ACE at 214-670-4255 for current options and fees.
Accessible parking Use confirmed accessible spaces at operating parking facilities and verify the pedestrian route.
Exhibitor equipment or freight Follow organizer loading-dock and marshalling instructions rather than general visitor parking rules.

Visitors needing step-free access should request the appropriate current route in advance. The venue provides accessible parking and entrance options, but temporary construction can alter pedestrian paths.

Driving to the Dallas Convention Center During Construction

The convention center is in southern downtown Dallas near I-30 and I-35E. Construction, street changes and event traffic make live directions more reliable than an old printed arrival route.

How to avoid the wrong entrance

  1. Confirm your event’s active hall and entrance.
  2. Check if Lot E is open before choosing it on your GPS.
  3. Use 500 Memorial Drive only when Lot E access is confirmed.
  4. Otherwise navigate to the garage entrance or Lot C.
  5. Check event-day detours and follow temporary road signage.
  6. Allow time to walk from parking to badge collection or security.

The DART Convention Center Station has been closed to boarding and exiting since January 5, 2026, because of the redevelopment project. Rail travelers should check EBJ Union Station, Cedars Station and DART’s available GoLink connections.

The official DART Convention Center Station service page explains alternative stops and GoLink arrangements.

Planning Your Convention Center Visit

Parking is only one part of a successful event visit. Check the event organizer’s confirmation before choosing where to leave your vehicle.

Before Driving

  • Find your event date and check-in time.
  • Confirm Hall A, B, C or the assigned room.
  • Choose a confirmed available parking facility.
  • Save your ticket, badge or QR code.
  • Check construction traffic and weather.

Before Leaving Your Car

  • Confirm the permitted parking area.
  • Check payment and closing restrictions.
  • Photograph your vehicle location.
  • Save your receipt and walking route.
  • Avoid leaving valuables visible.

For the broader venue layout, scheduled events and hotels near the convention district, our Kay Bailey Convention Center events, parking and hotel guide provides additional practical planning information.

If your event is actually being held at a different Dallas-area venue, check the venue name carefully. For example, our Irving Convention Center garage and DART travel guide covers a separate convention facility in Las Colinas, not the downtown Dallas Convention Center.

Final recommendation: Treat Lot E as a historical and potentially restricted parking option until the operator confirms access. For a convention visit in October 2026, begin with the official $20 garage or $17 Lot C, then compare confirmed alternatives according to your assigned event hall and current road access.

Information reviewed October 28, 2026. Lot E’s previously published $12 price, newer ACE listing and current venue parking recommendations come from different dates.
