Georgia International Convention Center Events & Tickets

GICC hosts trade shows, business conferences, school events, dance competitions, public markets, sports competitions and private meetings. The event calendar is not a universal ticket office: some events are open to the public, while others require registration, invitations or organizer approval.

How to Find Tickets or Register

  1. Locate your event. Match the event name and date with the schedule above.
  2. Check its admission type. Public exhibitions, professional conferences and competitions may use different ticket systems.
  3. Find the official organizer. Check the organizer identified in the event listing. The venue itself may not process admission.
  4. Verify entry requirements. Check ticket price, age rules, registration, badge collection, permitted bags and assigned hall.
  5. Complete the final registration. Use the official event registration or ticket link and save your confirmation.
Ticket warning: A listing on the GICC calendar does not automatically mean public admission or free entry. Event organizers control admission and can publish separate entry and security policies.

GICC Parking: Rates, Lots, Payment & EV Charging

Georgia International Convention Center provides approximately 2,000 on-site parking spaces across five connected surface parking lots. The venue’s published standard rate is $15 per entry, although individual events may have different pricing.

Standard Entry

$15 currently published per entry. Not a guaranteed all-event rate.

Payment

Cashless parking. GICC lists Visa, Mastercard and American Express debit or credit cards.

Accessible Parking

GICC publishes 30 accessible spaces and identifies Lot C for accessible visitor parking.

Parking Lot Layout

Area Location on Campus Practical Use
Lot A Eastern side of the GICC parking area Useful when event instructions direct attendees toward the east or ballroom side.
Lots B & D Between the outer parking areas General event parking subject to signs and staff direction.
Lot C Central parking area GICC identifies accessible visitor parking in Lot C.
Lot E Western end, near Airport Drive Two published ChargePoint EV charging stations.

The parking areas run along the northern side of the convention building. The campus also includes Gateway Center Arena, hotels, pedestrian paths and the ATL SkyTrain station. The best lot depends on event entrance instructions and traffic management.

How to Pay for Parking

  1. Approach the designated event parking entrance. Follow signs and any staff direction.
  2. Note your parking location. Save the lot letter and vehicle position.
  3. Pay using an accepted card. GICC identifies payment kiosks inside the building and at the exit.
  4. Keep payment information. Follow the event’s posted departure and validation process.
  5. Plan your exit. Large event crowds can cause delays after a final session or competition.
Do not confuse parking products: $15-per-entry GICC parking is different from overnight hotel parking, airport parking or a multi-day vehicle-storage plan. Confirm overnight permission and re-entry rules before leaving a vehicle at the convention center.

Electric Vehicle Charging

GICC lists two ChargePoint charging stations in Lot E. An EV driver should have an appropriate ChargePoint account and check station compatibility, availability and charging fees before depending on the chargers.

How to Reach GICC Using the Free ATL SkyTrain

The ATL SkyTrain connects the airport’s domestic-terminal area, the Gateway Center campus and the Rental Car Center. Airport information describes this complimentary system as operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

From the airport: Gateway Center is the first SkyTrain stop toward the Rental Car Center. GICC describes the ride as approximately two minutes. There is no separate SkyTrain fare for this connection.

From ATL Domestic Terminal to GICC

  1. Finish arrival and collect luggage. Leave the secure terminal area after baggage claim.
  2. Follow the Rental Car Center / ATL SkyTrain signs. Head toward the domestic ground transportation connection.
  3. Board the complimentary SkyTrain. Travel toward Gateway Center and the Rental Car Center.
  4. Exit at Gateway Center. This is the campus station serving GICC and nearby hotels.
  5. Follow the convention-center pedestrian signs. Continue toward the GICC building, then look for your organizer’s registration point.

Arriving at ATL International Terminal?

The International Terminal does not have the same direct landside SkyTrain access as the Domestic Terminal. An additional airport transfer is needed.

  1. Complete arrival procedures. Collect checked bags and clear the required arrival formalities.
  2. Locate international ground transportation. Follow signs for the airport’s free terminal connector.
  3. Take the appropriate airport shuttle. ATL publishes connections to the Rental Car Center and Domestic Terminal transportation area.
  4. Transfer to the SkyTrain. Ride toward Gateway Center and exit at the campus station.
  5. Walk to GICC. Follow current signs and the event organizer’s entrance instructions.
SkyTrain vs. Plane Train: ATL SkyTrain is the landside connection serving Gateway Center. The Plane Train is the separate airport system serving airline concourses. Do not rely on the Plane Train to take you directly to the convention-center campus.

MARTA Public Transportation

MARTA rail connects the airport with downtown Atlanta, Midtown and other parts of the metropolitan area. For a visitor approaching GICC from downtown, a practical route is to ride MARTA to Airport Station and then transfer to the free ATL SkyTrain.

GICC is not immediately outside a downtown MARTA station. Use the correct airport/Gateway Center transfer rather than assuming the College Park rail station is the venue entrance.

Driving Directions, Rideshare & Arrival Tips

Driving From Atlanta

GICC is near I-85, I-285, Camp Creek Parkway and Roosevelt Highway. Use the full venue address, follow live road guidance and watch for event-specific parking signs.

Taxi or Rideshare

Enter the full venue name and address. Ask your organizer whether a particular building entrance or designated drop-off area is required.

GICC Floor Plan: Exhibit Halls, Ballroom & Meeting Rooms

GICC’s official facility information lists approximately 400,000 square feet of total building area. Its exhibition halls, international ballroom, meeting suites, boardrooms and pre-function areas serve different types of events.

Exhibit Hall Capacity

The venue has four column-free exhibition halls: A, B, C and D. Each can be used separately or combined with adjacent halls.

Hall Setup Area 10 × 10 Booths Theater Capacity
Single Hall 37,800 sq ft 216 3,500

Three Combined Halls 113,400 sq ft 647 10,500
All Four Halls 151,200 sq ft 863 14,000

The official floor-plan chart uses a 32-foot ceiling height for the exhibition halls. Capacity depends on the approved setup, stage, aisles, equipment and fire-safety plan.

International Ballroom

The International Ballroom offers approximately 40,300 square feet when all eight salons are combined. It can accommodate banquet functions, conferences, ceremonies and major receptions.

Ballroom Setup Area Banquet Theater
Salon 1 3,315 sq ft 220 325

  • Two-section combination: 1,040 sq ft; up to 110 theater seats.
  • Four-section combination: 2,080 sq ft; up to 220 theater seats.
  • Boardroom 1: 1,040 sq ft; permanent conference setup for 20.
  • Boardrooms 2 and 3: 780 sq ft each; conference capacity of 12 each.

Which Room Should You Look For?

Trade Show

Look for Exhibit Hall A, B, C or D and its correct registration entrance.

Conference or Banquet

Check for International Ballroom and the specific salon number.

Smaller Meeting

Look for the named international suite or boardroom.

Floor-plan tip: An event badge may say “Exhibit Hall AB”, “International Ballroom” or “Suite 3”. These are different event spaces. Save that exact designation before arrival.

Hotels Near Georgia International Convention Center

The Gateway Center campus has several hotel options, including properties connected through pedestrian walkways and the SkyTrain network. Staying on campus may be particularly convenient for multi-day events and visitors flying into ATL.

Detailed Hotel Planning Guides

For a full-service conference stay, review the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway hotel guide. It covers the hotel’s own parking charges, SkyTrain connection, restaurants, guest rooms and meeting inventory.

If you prefer the nearby Renaissance, see our Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway guide for room details, airport-transfer steps, accessibility and the distinction between hotel and GICC parking.

Hotel parking is separate: GICC’s standard event-parking rate is not the overnight rate charged by an individual hotel. Before reserving, compare room price, taxes, breakfast, parking, cancellation rules and walking convenience.

Food, Wi-Fi, ATM & Other On-Site Amenities

Food & Catering

GICC identifies Proof of the Pudding as its exclusive on-site catering partner. Concessions and food service depend on the event. Catering options can cover meetings, receptions and larger functions.

Wi-Fi

Wireless internet is available throughout GICC. Do not assume a public connection will satisfy production, live-streaming or private-network requirements.

ATM

GICC identifies an ATM outside Exhibit Hall A. The presence of an ATM does not change the cashless on-site parking policy.

Business Services

The venue lists printing, photocopying and fax services. Visitors can request assistance through venue staff. The published house-phone extension is 3080.

Vending

Vending machines are listed in the pre-function area of the meeting rooms. Selection and availability can vary.

Walking & Fitness

The venue describes a roughly one-mile sidewalk fitness loop around GICC, useful for overnight campus visitors.

Can You Bring Outside Food?

GICC’s published exhibitor guidelines assign food and beverage service to its exclusive caterer and state that outside food and drinks are not generally permitted. Sampling at exhibits requires written approval.

The linked exhibitor document is an older published policy, so attendees should follow current event instructions and contact the venue about medical, disability-related, infant-feeding or other necessary accommodations.

Practical food tip: For long events, check whether the organizer has scheduled meal breaks, concessions or pre-ordered catering. Food options at different events may not be identical.

Accessibility, Wheelchair Access & Service Animals

The GICC facility is designed primarily on one level, including the event areas and loading operations. The venue lists accessible parking and publishes specific policies for service animals.

Accessible Parking

GICC identifies approximately 30 accessible parking spaces and directs visitors toward designated parking in Lot C, subject to availability.

Mobility Access

The single-level building design can simplify movement between hall and meeting-room areas. Ask the venue for the most suitable accessible route.

Service Animals

Trained service animals are welcome. GICC states that ordinary pets and emotional support animals are not permitted under its venue policy.

Event-Specific Support

Accessible seating, registration assistance, interpreting, sensory accommodations and other arrangements should be discussed with the event organizer in advance.

Accessibility Planning Checklist

  • Confirm the exact hall and event entrance.
  • Identify the closest designated accessible parking area or SkyTrain route.
  • Request any organizer-provided seating or communication accommodations early.
  • Ask about mobility assistance for long-distance movement inside large exhibit halls.
  • Confirm emergency assistance and service-animal relief arrangements if needed.

For venue questions, call (770) 997-3566.

Exhibitors: Loading Docks, Booth Services & Important Rules

Exhibitor logistics are different from normal visitor arrival. GICC provides dedicated loading facilities, drive-in access to its exhibition halls and on-site technical services.

17 Loading docks listed by GICC
4 Column-free exhibit halls
32 ft Published exhibit-hall ceiling height
863 Standard 10 × 10 booths in all halls combined

Before Exhibitor Move-In

  • Freight deliveries: Confirm the organizer’s advance warehouse, dock appointment and direct-shipping instructions.
  • Loading access: Do not use a public attendee entrance for freight or equipment.
  • Electrical service: GICC handles electrical and utility services; service requirements may involve separate orders and fees.
  • Internet: Request dedicated or private connectivity separately when ordinary venue Wi-Fi is unsuitable.
  • Signage and rigging: Obtain approval before hanging overhead signs, decorations or equipment.
  • Booth furniture: Rental of exhibition space does not automatically supply every booth’s furniture or display equipment.
  • Crate storage: The published guidelines prohibit storage of crates and bulk packing material inside exhibit areas.
  • Cleaning: Individual booth cleanup and bulk freight waste may remain the exhibitor’s or show contractor’s responsibility.

Common Venue Restrictions

GICC’s published exhibitor document includes rules concerning unauthorized signs, helium balloons, carpet adhesives, public-area displays, smoking, exhibit vehicles, dangerous equipment and blocked exits. The organizer’s current show manual and venue approvals control what exhibitors may actually install or bring.

Read before moving equipment: Some official guidelines available online are dated. Verify the current version and obtain written approvals rather than relying on an older rule or fee.

What Is Near the GICC Campus?

The convention center sits within College Park’s Gateway Center district, not downtown Atlanta. Visitors with free time can consider nearby campus facilities and historic College Park.

Gateway Center Arena

The neighboring sports and entertainment venue hosts separate events. Arena admission and convention-center registration are not interchangeable.

Historic College Park

Main Street and the historic downtown area offer restaurants, community character and local sightseeing beyond the airport district.

Historic College Park Golf Course

A public golf-course option in the Gateway Center area. Confirm current tee times and course access separately.

Local planning tip: Georgia weather can be hot and humid in summer, while showers and thunderstorms can interrupt outdoor walking. The SkyTrain and nearby hotel walkways help reduce the need for repeated car trips.

Georgia International Convention Center Map

Use the exact convention-center address for navigation. If you are parking, follow the event’s assigned lot signs; if arriving by SkyTrain, follow the pedestrian route from Gateway Center station.

Navigation address: 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, GA 30337.

Event-Day Checklist: What to Do Before Leaving

  • Confirm the exact event date and admission status.
  • Save the hall or ballroom name from your registration.
  • Carry tickets, badges or organizer confirmation.
  • Check whether event parking follows the standard $15 rate or a special rate.
  • Bring an accepted card if driving to GICC.
  • If flying, identify Domestic versus International Terminal SkyTrain instructions.
  • Allow time to walk from Gateway Center station or parking lot to registration.
  • Review the event’s current bag, food, photography and security policies.
  • Arrange accessibility assistance before the event when necessary.
  • Check final-session end times if your airport departure follows the event.
Best overall plan: Event confirmation → hall/registration point → transportation or parking → entrance → event-specific rules. Following this order avoids most wrong-venue and wrong-entrance problems.
