2026 construction: the official Client Resource Guide revised July 2026 says Barney Allis Plaza is currently under construction and encourages Streetcar, RideKC, rideshare, IRIS, taxis or private vehicles as appropriate.

One long show floor
If your booth or session is at the opposite end, the walking distance is meaningful. Save the hall letter, booth number and registration point before entering.
Docks and trailer access
The venue lists three truck docks and 29 trailer bays. Exhibitor freight uses dock/service routes, not public attendee doors.
Utilities under the floor
Floor ports on 30-foot centers support electrical, telephone and high-speed internet; some also support water, gas, air and drains.

Bartle Level 2 rooms
These are meeting-room series above/adjacent to Bartle, not exhibit halls. Official resources provide separate theater, classroom, banquet, conference, hollow-square and U-shape diagrams.
Grand Ballroom
The Grand Ballroom is 46,484 sq ft and can expand/configure for large functions. It connects to the Conference Center and Loews via an enclosed walkway.
Conference Center
The three-level Conference Center has more than 56,000 sq ft of function space, extensive pre-function area and separate floor-plan sets for each level.
Planner distinction: the current July 2026 guide requires Loews Catering for Conference Center and Grand Ballroom events. Bartle Hall and Municipal Auditorium events may use the Convention Center’s approved catering providers, while Aramark remains exclusive for concessions, merchandise sales and alcohol.
Tickets, registration and the Municipal Auditorium Box Office
Do not assume every convention uses the same ticket system. Save your ticket or badge offline. Even in a building with strong network infrastructure, your event credentials should not depend on getting online at the door.
Harvest Business Center: printing, scanning and shipping
The Harvest Business Center is indoors near the 2200 Lobby at 13th Street and Central. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with adjusted hours available on request.
Can you ship packages there?
The center says it can ship/receive up to 50 lb per package or 100 lb total through FedEx, UPS and DHL. The current listed handling fee is $30 per package; incoming packages above the weight limits are listed with a $150 overweight fee.
Do not send true booth freight to the Business Center. Large furniture/freight and various restricted items—including alcohol, ammunition/firearms, live animals, perishables, combustible materials and original artwork—are excluded. For a normal attendee, the simplest rule is that the general prohibited-items list includes outside food and beverages. Exhibitor sampling and planner catering are a separate process.

Hotels: connected beats “closest” for some convention trips
Visit KC currently describes nearly 6,000 hotel rooms in the Downtown Convention District, with about 1,700 connected to the Convention Center. For early sessions or exhibit work, the route to your hall can matter more than a small rate difference.
