  2. Identify the organizer. Use the linked event website to locate its authorized registration or ticket service.
  3. Read admission conditions. Check prices, ID, age requirements, show hours and registration eligibility.
  4. Confirm the event entrance. Save the assigned hall, room and registration location.
  5. Complete the final transaction. Purchase admission or register with the organizer and save the confirmation.
Ticket warning: The venue recommends purchasing tickets online before arriving because at-the-door sales vary by event. A listing on the calendar does not guarantee public admission.

Huntington Convention Center Parking: Garages, Prices & Walkways

Huntington Convention Center does not operate its own on-site public parking. However, the nearby Huntington Park Garage has 1,200 spaces and an enclosed walkway connecting to the convention center and Hilton Cleveland Downtown.

The venue also recommends Willard Park Garage and identifies additional walkable downtown garages and surface lots.

Parking Options Near the Convention Center

Parking Facility Published Address Visitor Advantage
Huntington Park Garage 1141 W. 3rd Street; vehicle entrance on Lakeside Avenue 1,200 spaces, enclosed ground-floor connector to Hilton and the center.
Willard Park Garage 601 Lakeside Avenue Large nearby public garage and official alternative to Huntington Park Garage.
AECOM Garage 1301 E. 6th Street East-side alternative for downtown convention access.
Memorial Plaza Garage 300 St. Clair Avenue NE Another downtown parking option near the hotel and convention district.

How Much Does Parking Cost?

The convention center’s public FAQ describes nearby parking as normally around $10–$12 per day. However, this is not a guaranteed event price.

The venue’s published parking-map rate ranges are wider, and some garage or special-event charges can reach $25–$40 or more. Check the garage operator’s current posted rate before entering.

Do not treat $10 as a guaranteed all-day rate. Rates vary with events, duration, individual garage policies and availability. A Browns game or another major downtown event may affect parking demand.

How to Use the Connected Huntington Park Garage

  1. Choose Huntington Park Garage. Confirm its current entrance and fee before beginning your trip.
  2. Approach via Lakeside Avenue. The convention center identifies the vehicle entrance opposite the Hilton entrance.
  3. Park and record your location. Note the level and space or a nearby landmark.
  4. Find the ground-floor connector. Look for marked doors reading “Convention Center, Hilton Hotel.”
  5. Continue into the convention campus. Follow building signs toward your assigned event.
  6. Pay according to garage instructions. Payment stations are near walkway entrance doors or the W. 3rd Street exit gate.

Parking Contact and Payment Questions

The convention center does not operate the garage, so its staff cannot override the garage’s payment or exit requirements. For Huntington Park Garage payment questions, the venue lists (216) 443-7007.

Hotel Guests

Hotel overnight parking is a separate consideration. Compare your hotel rate, valet charges and re-entry terms before choosing a parking product.

Accessible Parking

Huntington Park Garage has accessible spaces and a connected tunnel. Accessible passenger drop-off is also possible at the Lakeside entrance.

For additional garage-by-garage context and the full Cleveland venue parking-map discussion, see our published Huntington Convention Center parking and visitor guide .

For comparison, the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh has a different parking arrangement, with an attached venue garage. Do not apply Pittsburgh’s policies to Cleveland.

Huntington Convention Center Address, Entrances & Driving Directions

The convention center’s two published addresses are used for different purposes. They should not be treated as interchangeable garage entrances.

For Driving or Passenger Drop-Off 300 Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114. This is the driving address published by the convention center.
For Main/Mailing Address 1 St. Clair Avenue NE, Cleveland, OH 44114. Useful for official correspondence and the St. Clair-side visitor approach.
For Huntington Park Garage The official parking map lists 1141 W. 3rd Street, while the venue identifies its vehicle entrance on Lakeside Avenue.

Lakeside Avenue vs. St. Clair Entrance

Lakeside Avenue Side

Useful for vehicles, accessible drop-off, parking garage connections and the Hilton Cleveland Downtown approach.

St. Clair Side

Useful for visitors approaching from downtown streets and the main-address side of the campus.

Coming From the Interstate

Downtown Cleveland is reached using major routes such as I-90, I-71 and I-77. The preferred exit depends on your approach, chosen parking garage, event traffic and road restrictions.

  • Choose a parking garage before opening turn-by-turn navigation.
  • Navigate to the garage vehicle entrance rather than a generic venue pin.
  • Watch for downtown one-way streets and temporary traffic controls.
  • Check stadium event schedules when planning a busy evening.
  • Allow additional time for registration and the walk from your vehicle.
Simple rule: The best entrance is the one specified in your organizer’s instructions. A large conference may assign a different check-in area from a smaller ballroom event.

How to Get From Cleveland Hopkins Airport to the Convention Center

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) has a direct rail connection to downtown Cleveland through the Greater Cleveland RTA Red Line.

The airport states that the journey to Tower City takes less than 30 minutes, with trains generally every 15 minutes for much of the day.

Airport Red Line: Step by Step

  1. Collect your luggage. Finish arrival and baggage claim before following airport transit signs.
  2. Find the Airport RTA station. It is on the lower level of the main terminal complex, reached from the ticketing or baggage claim levels.
  3. Purchase a valid fare. Use the station’s available fare options and follow the current payment rules.
  4. Board the Red Line toward downtown. Travel toward Tower City/Public Square.
  5. Exit at Tower City. From there, continue through downtown on foot, by an appropriate bus or via taxi/rideshare.
  6. Enter the correct convention entrance. Follow your event’s check-in instructions for the Lakeside or St. Clair approach.

Current Cleveland RTA Fare Information

Fare Product Published 2026 Price What It Covers
Standard single ride $2.50 Bus, Rapid or BRT single-ride fare.
Standard all-day pass $5.00 Unlimited qualifying rides until the published expiration time.
Senior/disabled/child single ride $1.25 Reduced-fare eligibility requirements apply.
Senior/disabled/child day pass $2.50 Reduced-fare eligibility requirements apply.

RTA introduced a mobile-ticket validation requirement on May 7, 2026. Riders using mobile tickets must scan the fare validator when boarding; showing a phone screen alone is not sufficient.

Important: Waterfront Line Service Changed in 2026

Do not plan a normal convention trip around daily Waterfront Line service. Effective August 16, 2026, RTA suspended regular scheduled Waterfront service. Trains now operate only for announced special events.

The W. 3rd/Stadium Waterfront station looks convenient on older maps, but it is not a dependable daily connection for a routine conference.

RTA has published special Waterfront service dates for some Cleveland Browns events. That does not mean trains will run for every convention or on every weekend.

Which Airport Transportation Option Is Best?

Traveler Practical Option Main Consideration
Budget traveler RTA Red Line to Tower City Final downtown walk or connection with luggage.
Heavy luggage Taxi or rideshare Live fare and the correct hotel or venue entrance.
Multi-day convention guest Red Line plus walkable downtown hotel Total time, mobility needs and hotel location.
Driving to several destinations Rental car Downtown parking and hotel overnight charges.

Tickets, Bag Policy, Food Rules & Security

The venue’s general visitor FAQ states that all bags are subject to inspection on entry. It does not publish one universal clear-bag size for every convention.

General Prohibited Items

  • Weapons and dangerous items.
  • Laser pointers and fireworks.
  • Drones and unmanned aircraft.
  • Air horns and other disruptive noisemakers.
  • Tobacco and vaping products inside restricted areas.

  • Personal outside food and beverages, subject to necessary accommodations.
  • Pets other than qualifying service animals.

Can You Bring Water?

Yes. The official venue FAQ permits reusable water bottles. Water refill stations are located on each level of the facility.

Event policies can be stricter. A cosplay show, competitive sporting event, conference or family exhibition may impose its own bag size, camera, costume-prop, re-entry and food rules. Check the actual event organizer before arrival.

How to Check Security Requirements

  1. Open the organizer’s ticket or attendee page. Find entry and security information.
  2. Check your bag. Confirm size, backpack and luggage restrictions.
  3. Check special items. Cameras, cosplay props, strollers and equipment may require additional rules.
  4. Review food requirements. Contact the organizer about medical, disability-related or infant-feeding needs.

Wrong GPS address The venue publishes different mailing and driving addresses. Use 300 Lakeside Avenue for driving or the selected garage’s exact address.
Unexpected parking fee Nearby garages are independently operated and may have event pricing. Check the live rate before entry; do not assume the usual $10–$12 guidance is guaranteed.
Waterfront Line is not running Regular scheduled Waterfront service was suspended in August 2026. Use Tower City as the normal rail starting point and check RTA for special-event service.
Event ticket unavailable at the door Admission is handled by individual event organizers. Use the organizer’s official ticket or registration link before leaving.

Wheelchair cannot be reserved Complimentary manual wheelchairs are first come, first served. Arrange any essential mobility equipment independently and ask guest services for available assistance.
Exhibitor freight reaches the wrong entrance Loading docks and public entrances have different procedures. Use the organizer-approved freight address and move-in schedule.
